Il Podesta is a two-bedroom apartment on the ground floor of a beautiful stone house in a small medieval village. It has recently been restored to reveal original terracotta floors and beamed ceilings. There is a kitchen/sitting area with fireplace, two bedrooms and bathroom with shower. Behind the house, with a separate entrance, is an outdoor seating area in a quiet south facing garden with magnificent views across the Ombrone Valley and Monte Amiata beyond.

Pari - Alta Maremma - Tuscany
Pari is a small, unspoilt, medieval village in Southern Tuscany, perched on a hilltop with magnificent views across the Ombrone valley towards Monte Amiata. It is a beautifully maintained village, the houses made entirely from local stone, with a single narrow street for the little traffic that passes through. Given its proximity to the Siena-Grosseto highway, Pari is a surprisingly little-known place, so far undiscovered by the tourist guides and yet worthy of a visit if only to enjoy the slow pace of quiet Tuscan village life that wakes up several times a year for its sausage festival and various open air dinners and cultural events. Visitors are also attracted by the promise of a good meal at the restaurant in the square after a session at the nearby Petriolo thermal springs or a day’s walking or cycling in the beautiful surrounding countryside. Facilities are few – there is a grocery store, a bar and two restaurants, but banks, shops and a chemist are only 15 minutes away in the pretty town of Paganico.
