This beautiful old converted school house is situated in a small hamlet in rural southwest of France between the river Garonne and the Canal du Midi (Rick Stein's favourite Watersay: "a French Odysey". It is in a beautiful area of the Lot et Garonne, so tranquil yet near so many places of interest.
Restaurants, shops, pharmacy, supermarkets, banks etc, all 7 minutes away.
Activities in summer: tennis, horseback riding, hiking, fishing, golf (15 mins away), mini golf, canoeing, water skiing, go carts, balloon flights, American 6 flags amusement and water park. Tour the famous wineries, museums, shopping, sightseeing, restaurants all nearby. Village fetes and markets every weekend with dining and dancing under the stars. Concerts (from opera to rock), antiques and book fairs, children's activities, fireworks. In Puymirol there is a medieval fete every weekend spring through fall, in costumes re-enacting the Middle Ages with jousting tournaments on horseback, sword fighting, folk music, mimes, magicians, and food. Prehistoric sites and staligmatic caves.
