Kotor is the main town in the Boka Bay region, sandwiched between the majestic Mount Lovcen and the sea. It is one of the main tourist destinations in Montenegro; cruise ships arrive daily from around the world to its Marina and it therefore has a wealth of facilities for the visitor. Kotor boasts year round interest and is well known for hosting numerous festivals.It is an old medieval waterfront town with churches, museums, Venetian architecture and the cathedral of St Tryphon which dates back to 1166.

The town is a maize of cobbled streets and alleys with hidden squares and piazzas at every turn. Its beautiful Marina, located just outside its fortress walls, hosts a daily market selling organic produce which in the evenings are replaced by stalls selling jewellery and trinkets, from here you can either watch the yachts and cruise ships sail in or even take a boat trip yourself. The bay of Kotor has the deepest fjords in the Mediterranean and is officially listed within the top 10 'most beautiful Bays in the World'. From within the Old Town are the steps up to the Old Fort where you will encounter the most stunning views of the bay. There are small beaches dotted around the bay or larger ones within a 10 minute drive or ferry trip, a vacation to remember.
