This charming holiday apartment is part of an end of terrace stone house, in the old centre of Santa Maria Del Giudice,Tuscany.The entrance is through a flower filled courtyard and up stone steps to the private entrance.A sunny terrace is off the kitchen/breakfast room, where it is possible to have a glass of wine and drink in the atmosphere of true village life.On this first floor is the shower room with bidet with constant hot water, and next door is the cosy single bedroom/tiny sitting room.There is a single sofa bed, plenty of books,games and information on the area.Up steep open tread stairs is the main double bedroom with a large cast iron bed.The apartment has been restored in keeping with the age (approx 250 yrs)with modern touches and local design. All rooms have terracotta floors, radiators and windows facing the village field or courtyard.

The village of Santa Maria del Giudice is part of the commune of Lucca and Lucca region.It is a very old working village with 2 churches dating back to the 12th and 13th century.The apartment is behind the church square where there is easy free parking.There are 3 grocers, who sell local fresh produce, bread,milk,and household products.There is also a post office and 3 hairdressers! Within walking distance from the apartment are 3 trattoria, with good local Tuscan cooking, pizzas and all are reasonable.A short car ride away to Lucca there are of course many more shops and cafes.Also you will find 2 large supermarkets within 10 mins drive.
