The apartment is newly refurbished to a very high standard, and is decorated with artifacts from around the world, especially the Far East. It consists of a double bedroom with king size bed, a single bedroom, large lounge with double doors to a small balcony, fully fitted kitchen with separate large dining area, and a bathroom with bath and shower. We have tried to think of every detail so that when you arrive you feel at home straight away. On arrival you will find the apartment immaculate, and small food items and a welcome drink are provided. The apartment has windows on all 4 sides giving views of the village, gardens, and the vine covered terraced hills that the Cinque Terre is so famous for. There is central heating for the cooler months.

The B&B is a large 4 bedroomed, 4 bathroomed house set in 11 acres of grounds by a river. The main garden is gated and fenced so secure for parking cars in the drive. The garden is a mix of Italian and English style and has many seating areas and pergolas. We have double bedrooms with king sized beds, twin rooms and a large single. The bathrooms are new and have been fitted out to the highest standards available in Italy. We offer a personal service with attention to detail, such as afternoon tea or drinks on arrival, and chocolates and water in the rooms, refreshed every day. We speak English and Italian and are able to provide information on all that is avaoilable in this part of Italy.

The apartment is in the village of Volastra, above Manarola which is one of the 5 Cinque Terre villages. A regular bus service links Volastra with the harbour and train station in Manarola, for onward journeys by train or tourist ferry. The village has parking close to the apartment, which is quite rare on the Cinque Terre. Volastra has a good restaurant, well known for its fish dishes, and the shop is open every day, including Sundays. Volastra is easy to get to by train or car, and is central for all of the Cinque Terre, as well as for Portofino, Pisa, Lucca and Florence.

The B&B is inland from the Cinque Terre, which is 14 minutes away, as are good beaches. It is only 4 minutes from the motorway and so central for visiting all the locations on the Ligurian coast as well as the cities of Pisa, Lucca, Florence and Parma. The house stands at the start of the Val di Vara (valley of the river Vara), which is one of the most popular rural tourist destinations in Europe, as the valley is famous as the first in Italy to be totally biological. It is a popular valley for walks, mountain biking, canoing and horse riding.
