Our 18th Century Provençal farmhouse has been carefully restored with much charm and is beautifully situated overlooking the popular old village of Mazan with views on to the Mount Ventoux. The Mas stands in four acres of its own attractive gardens and orchards, surrounded by farmland.

The west half of Le Mas Bel Air has been converted into a comfortable, private residence that sleeps 2 . With the optional second bedroom an additional 2 people can be accommodated and the apartment is fully furnished for four persons. The Mas has full central heating and the main bedroom is air-conditioned. Facilities include full French and UK TV/radio via satellite, CD player, washing machine, iron and ironing board, hairdryer.

The apartment remains entirely self-contained whether or not the second bedroom is required. The other half of the house is occupied permanently by the English owner and mutual privacy is assured.

No other part of the house is let.

Guests are invited to make full use of the gardens, patios, portable barbecue and the wide selection of garden furniture. The patios have been arranged so as to provide a choice of sun or shade at all hours and at all times of year.

There is secure off-road parking for two cars in the driveway which has automatic gates.

The accommodation is not really suitable for young children under 7.

Le Mas Bel Air is situated just 1 mile from the popular old village of Mazan which has all the usual shops including three bakeries, a Post Office, one medium-sized supermarket, two convenience stores, two newsagents, three bars (two of which do light meals), two pharmacies, a local Tourist Office, two small hotels and a bank with a cash machine for credit card withdrawals.

In the village there are six restaurants that cover the whole range from gastronomic haute cuisine to family pizzerias, with dozens of other restaurants of all types within 15 minutes drive.

There is also a very nice church just along from the Marquis de Sade's Chateau in the centre of the village.

A walk to the village takes about 25 minutes through the woods along a shady track that crosses the river.

There is a lake for swimming within 10 minutes drive of the Mas and several local villages have swimming pools. Skiing is possible on the Mt. Ventoux most winters. Avignon, with its famous bridge and the Palais des Papes is only 20 minutes drive away as are such internationally renowned wine producing areas as Chateauneuf du Pape and Gigondas. Much other varied and beautiful scenery can be found just a few minutes away in any direction; the Luberon national park and the Nesque valley gorges are two examples. Little more than one hour's drive takes you to such diverse places as the Mediterranean beaches and the Ardeche mountain gorges.
