Listing description

Slatters Cottage is a luxury Grade II listed 17th century stone cottage lovingly restored and available for holiday lets all year round.
The cottage is situated in a quiet country lane with lovely views of the rolling hills and of the beautiful Cotswold village of Bourton-on-the-Hill.
On the ground floor is the kitchen and the lounge/dining area with a window seat and a large inglenook fireplace with log burning stove, both with exposed stone wall and beamed ceilings, and an adjoining toilet and utility room.
Upstairs are one double (5’ pocket sprung mattress) with colour TV and one single bedroom, sleeping up to three people (plus baby), with lovely views over the village, and the bathroom with bath and shower-over-bath.
The cottage is fully equipped with a gas cooker, fridge, separate freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer and gas central heating. It also has a colour TV, Freeview Box, DVD player, CD/MP3 player with radio. There are a wide range of books, DVD films, music CDs and many games provided. WiFi internet.
There is a payphone and you can get mobile reception. There is off-road parking directly outside the cottage for one car and further parking spaces are always available on the road directly by the cottage.
All linen (except for travel cot) and towels are provided free of charge. A travel cot and high chair can be provided at no extra cost. One well behaved dog is welcome (downstairs only) on request, for a small additional charge.

Located in the North Cotswolds, Bourton-on-the-Hill is ideally situated to act as your central base for visiting the many wonderful sites in the area from Warwick/Stratford-on-Avon to the North, Cheltenham & Bath to the South and the beauty spots of Broadway, Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold and "The Slaughters", to name but a few, are all nearer to hand.
Local amenities include the renowned gastropub, The Horse & Groom, Village Hall and Bourton House & Gardens. To either side of the village there is farmland, running down to Batsford Arboretum and the Cotswold Falconry Centre.
The nearest mainline station is in Moreton-in-Marsh, less than 2 miles away, where there are also antique & gift shops, pubs, restaurants (both eat in and take-away)/tea rooms and the Co-Op, Budgens and a Tesco Express. Buses run through the village most days.
The Cotswolds invites walkers of all abilities be it a hike along the Cotswold Way or a stroll through country lanes that give up their secrets at every turn.
If visiting gardens is your pleasure then using Slatters Cottage as a base will not disappoint you. From cottage gardens to arboretums there is plenty on offer.
Visitors of all ages cannot fail to find places of interest to visit.
Visiting restaurants and pubs serving good food and drink will no doubt be an important part of your holiday. Bourton-on-the-Hill and its surrounding areas will provide many such wonderful opportunities.

Additional Information
The cottage is available for letting the whole year round, whether for lazy summers days or cosy winter evenings.
Each week is normally from Friday 4pm until the following Friday 10 am. However we are happy to be more flexible and would consider other start dates to fit into your requirements where ever possible.
