Sankt Johann, a popular shopping centre is a lively interesting winter and summer sports resort. In the winter down hill and cross country skiing, illumimated toboggan run and ice skating or just horse drawn sleigh rides and roaring log fires! Plenty of summer walking (80km of marked hiking trails) swimming and horse riding, mountain biking, tennis golf and squash and a fitness centre make it an all year round destination. As well as cafes and various high standard restaurants and bars the site seeing and culture of the beautiful city of Salzburg is easily accessible in less than an hour by direct train.
