Listing description

This cosy brick built cottage with wood burning stove is set in the garden of our home, with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Self Contained with all you will need for an idyllic break. This cottage is all on one level with small step to front and rear and with level gardens and car parking area.
The cottage is set in the peaceful New Forest National Park - where the deer, ponies and cattle roam freely - in the beautiful and romantic village of Lover. We are also close to Salisbury and Stonehenge. The New Forest has numerous attractions to visit and sites to see. Or ideal for just a peaceful getaway. Every season paints a different picture, bluebells and foals in spring to brilliant leaf colours in autumn.
The northern part of the Forest is relatively quiet and untouched by commercial attractions, offering the opportunity for peaceful strolls in ancient woodland. For the more adventurous, cycling to nearby Forest communities such as Fritham or Bramshaw offers a pleasant way to enjoy the Forest.
This beautiful cottage has recently been completely refurbished and has the benefit of beautiful views over the Wiltshire countryside. Standing in the garden of our New Forest home.
Comprising lovely accommodation offering all amenities including a lounge area with woodburner, double Bedroom with views over our wild meadow, and a newly tiled shower room.
The garden has beautiful views over the meadow and to the fields and woods beyond.
Location Details
Lover Village on the northern edge of the New Forest National Park
We are possibly situated in one of the best locations being rural and having quick access to the forest, but having good public houses and a village shop less than 5 minutes away by car.
This part of the Forest although beautiful is less well known than the populated centres of Lyndhurst and Ringwood, but gives easy access to the Forest walks, the Wiltshire Downs, the cities of Salisbury being 10 miles and Southampton 20 miles respectively.
The village of Lover is quiet and a true wildlife haven with Deer, Pheasants and Badgers fairly common. The Village is also very well known due to the amount of Valentine’s Day cards we have posted through our local Post Offic!
So, if you are looking for that peaceful break and need a base to see the forest, give us a call to see if we can fit you in!
Whatever the time of the year come and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. In Spring and Summer the foals gallop around in the sunshine. In Autumn enjoy the fantastic colours of the leaves as the Forest sheds its foliage. In winter the clear crisp air is a joy to behold, or if you prefer just light the woodburner and snuggle up!
We look forward to hearing from you.
