Listing description

Front of farmhouse with private walled garden

The pale yellow limewashed walls of the lounge glow with the morning light - a huge inglenook with candle wall sconces houses a wood burning stove and a good supply of wood from our own woodland (all inclusive). TV, video, DVD, CD, games, lots of books and 2 comfortable sofas. A large, modern kitchen with a random slate slab floor has an extendable dining table to seat 6 in comfort. Dishwasher, washing machine, electric cooker, microwave, large fridge freezer - very well equipped including those little essentials that most holiday cottages lack - olive oil, eggs, butter, herbs and spices, condiments, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid etc. The red and white themed bunk bedroom loved by children and teenagers is also on the ground floor. A small but beautifull equipped bathroom includes power shower, WC, basin and bidet. All towels and linens supplied. Upstairs (fully carpeted) the twin bedroom has a separate seating area and a patchwork wall hanging. Large wardrobe. The master bedroom is white, blue and lemon with a Victorian style white metal bedstead and traditional Welsh blanket. There is an intriguing wardrobe (for use by master bedroom and bunk bedroom guests) on the landing - we call it the Narnia wardrobe - come and find out why! A compact second bathroom has a Sitz bath, WC and basin with wainscot walls. Outside there are sitting areas back and front, Bar-B-Q, children's play equipment and the orchard with our Orchard House housing the hot tub spa.

Tariff Notes

Our 2012 rates are from £450 to £950 per week. On our website we have a full availability and booking calendar. It shows more clearly the tariffs which reflect school holidays and half-terms which are somewhat different in many schools. We also welcome short breaks or long weekends when available - if in doubt please contact us. Our changeover day is usually Saturday but we are flexible about this. Rentals commence at 4 p.m. until 10 a.m. on the departure date but we are aware that many guests travel long distances and try to be as flexible as we can.
