Location Details
Near to St Ives, Penzance and wonderful beaches
Whitecross is a quiet hamlet halfway between the north and south coast of Cornwall at the narrowest part. Close to St Ives with the Tate Gallery, Barbara Hepworth Museum and Leach Pottery, Penzance with its boat and helicopter links to the Scilly Isles, Marazion with St Michael's Mount, and Hayle with 'three miles of golden sands'. Up the lane is Trencrom with its ancient hill fort and magnificent views over the whole of West Cornwall. Within a few miles is the north coast and inland the tin mining centre of Camborne and Redruth. The Lizard Peninsula is a short drive away. The Penwith Peninsula has Land's End, Sennen (surfing), Zennor, Botallack and Minack Theatre. Penwith has the highest concentration of Neolithic sites in Europe, including monuments at The Merry Maidens, Lanyon Quoit, Chûn Quoit and an Iron Age village at Chysauster. The Eden Project is about an hour drive away. The cathedral city of Truro is about 30 minutes away with its cobbled streets and stores.

RECENT REVIEWS
“We had a great holiday in this comfortable cottage and the lovely garden! Thank you for the bunch of fresh flowers, coffee and milk! …. We’ve really enjoyed our holiday – Thanks for all – we’ll be back!!!” – A, R and L – Germany - July 2010
“Beautiful cottage in a great location. Very well equipped. There were only 2 of us but it would suit a family of 4 or 2 couples very well. The garden is very pretty and there is loads of space to sit outside and sunbath or eat. We had coffee out there every morning. Kitchen is large and has everything you need. The living room full of character but with all the necessary mod cons. Lots to do in surrounding area.” – C & D – London – June 2010
“The cottage is spotlessly clean and is furnished in a style which makes you feel immediately at home. The log burning fire is particularly delightful on the more chilly evenings. The garden is well maintained and great for relaxing in with a good book. Booking the cottage, directions and instructions were all well managed and we had a totally stress free holiday." – T – London – April 2010
