Listing description

Named for the Occitan song of the breeze, truly magical home in the shadow of Marseillan's famous clocher belltower, this offers the ultimate in village living - 2 minutes stroll from the gastronomic quaysides of Marseillan's picturesque port.
Despite having more than a dozen restaurants a whistle from the front door, you may not want to leave the house. In the fabulous modern kitchen, you can prepare memorable meals each evening. You don't even have to wash up - the dishwasher takes care of the plates.
Dine indoors by a real log fire in winter, sup outside on one of the house's terraces and balconies on a sultry summer night. Cosy up with a good book and glass of wine, shutters closed against the outside world, or lean out on wrought iron railings to hear the a peña band wafted on a resfreshing evening breeze from the lagoon.
Inside, the house has every comfort. 1st floor: 2 spacious double bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, whilst a 3rd twin bedroom has access to a modern wetroom! The master bedroom suite its own private terrace for breakfast al fresco.
Vast living room with high ceilings leads to the main roof terrace for dining by the churchtower. The kitchen is ideal for any would-be chef, a staircase leads to a mezzanine den under the eaves, a sofa bed and TV/DVD in a hidden hideaway.
This is a tasteful and stylish conversion of an original winemaker’s house, midway twixt village and port. A big garage. Space is the keynote, and charm the watchword of Lou C
Location Details
Marseillan Village
Marseillan is a little gem - an historic Mediterranean harbour, tucked away from the brash resorts of the Med. Timeless and charming, the vieux village, with its centuries-old houses, its cobbled squares and its distinctive church tower, is just a blink away from the quayside cafes and restaurant tables of the port - but all is settled on the banks of an oyster rich lagoon a five minute drive from the beaches of the seaside resorts, safely tucked away on the other side of the lake. Of course - one could do more than merely laze away the days over fine food and wine: Nearby one could try Canoeing, Cycling, Fishing, Golf, Hiking, Horse riding, Sailing, Swimming, Tennis... perhaps next time?
