Listing description

This charming 4 bed gite is full of character and has views over undulating farmland. It has granite walls, exposed oak beams and a huge granite fireplace with a wood burning fire. It is heated for the cooler months, so is ideal for that well earned holiday at any time of the year.
The Lounge: Arched granite front door and 2 large windows, a huge granite fireplace with wood burner, granite walls and wood ceiling with huge beam. There is a CTV/CTV & a HIFI, and comfortable seating for 8.
The kitchen/diner: Vaulted ceilings, seating for 8, full size gas cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer & microwave. Double doors lead to a private patio area with garden furniture, parasol & a BBQ. This leads to the shared gardens and pool area.
Bedroom 1: A large double room with views over the front garden and undulating fields, and an ensuite shower room.

The gites are situated in rural countryside, but within minutes of the local village, towns and numerous tourist attractions.
Our gites are the perfect accommodation if you are looking for a self - catering holiday in Brittany. Perfectly positioned, just 30 minutes drive to the 2nd most visited place in France Mont Saint Michel. Their location offers the option of a quiet relaxing retreat for all the family, fun-packed adventure with walking or cycling, lots of tourist attractions, or a combination of all three.

Tariff Notes
Prices:
A £150 deposit is required to secure your booking. A Booking Form with Terms and Conditions is available on request. The balance is due 8 weeks before arrival along with the £150 security deposit.
A £150 security deposit is required per cottage, this will be refunded to you after you leave providing it has been left in a reasonable condition and there are no breakages.
If the cottage has not been left in a reasonable condition then £75 will be deducted to cover costs.
Helpful Information:
Rental weeks are from 4 pm Saturday to 10 am Saturday during peak, flexable at all other times.
For the comfort of our future guests, smoking is permitted in outdoor areas only.

Additional Information
There are two and a half acres of gardens with open views over undulating farmland.
There is a private patio area for each cottage with garden furniture, seating, sun canopy and a BBQ.
There is also a communal patio area which has a brick built BBQ, the ideal place for parents to get to know one another, while the kids play. We have had many an enjoyable evening with a BBQ and a few drinks.
The heated above ground pool is made of teak to fit in with the surroundings in the orchard; it is 6x4 metres and 1.5 metres deep and is open from May - September.
The gardens are the ideal place to relax by the pool, have a picnic under a tree, or just sit and read a good book while sipping a glass a wine.
There is a 14ft trampoline with safety nets, badminton, swings, boules pit, swing ball, football net, and basketball in the gardens, along with numerous games.
In the covered veranda area there is table soccer, table tennis and a darts board and lots of other toys.
The gardens are large and safe enough for children to play, whilst we consider our accommodation to be child friendly, good parental supervision should be shown at all times.
For the comfort of our future guests, smoking is permitted in designated areas/outdoor areas only.
Just down the lane there is an 18 km Patrimoine walk through lovely countryside.
La Basse Rouerie is located in a small village called Mellé, which is situated on the Brittany/ Normandy borders. Here you can spend days on the magnificent beaches known as the Emerald coast, visit walled towns or just walk through the lovely countryside, something for everyone.
We are about an hours drive from the port of St Malo; this is also an excellent place to visit, with a walled town and miles of sandy beaches.
Also within an hours drive you have the large towns of Rennes, Dinan, Domfront and Mortain all worthy of a visit.
Half an hour’s drive will take you to the walled town of Fougeres with its chateau, and sandy beach in the forest. Mont Saint Michel the 2nd most visited place in France after the Eiffel Tower and St Hilaire a lively market town.
Mellé is also only 10 mins away from the American War Cemetery at St. James, the water park at St Martin de Landelles and trout fishing in St Georges du Rentembault.
So whatever the family want to do on holiday you will find it here, energetic or relaxing you choose it’s your holiday.
