The beautiful city of Avignon; home to the Popes in the middle ages. Arles - Roman capital of Gaul with many spectacular Roman remains & home to the Impressionist painters (Van Gogh, Cezanne etc) & Nimes with the best preserved Roman Temple & Arena in France. See the famous Pont du Gard & ducal town of Uzes. Beautiful beaches of Ste Maries de-la-Mer only half hours drive away. To get to Ste Maries, enjoy the spectacular drive through the Carmague & spend time in the Reserve Naturelle. Horseriding & biking are the best way to see this beautiful natural parkland with its flamingos & vast birdlife. Excellent shopping & sightseeing in Arles, St-Remy-de-Provence, Nimes and Avignon.
