Gite in rural location with Pool sleeps 5 plus baby 450€ pw

The Cottage comprises of a comfortable integral sitting area with Kitchen and a separate shower room on the ground floor with a Double bed settee. On the mezzanine floor above there are 3 single beds with bedside cabinets and wardrobe.
The kitchen is equipped with Gas Hob, Microwave Combination oven and Fridge and all the necessary utensils and crockery.

We do offer the option of an Evening Meal
to all our Guests if required,
these must be booked in advance.

All linen and towels are provided for use within the cottage


Outside there is a private garden with a barbeque and car parking space.

There is also a beautiful pool situated in the grounds with hydro massage jets and underwater lighting with a terraced area with sun loungers providing a relaxing atmosphere.
All this is set in the quiet wooded river valley but near to many of the local attractions.

We charge 450€ per week throughout the year. This includes all linen and towels etc. (Not beach towels though)

If you are looking for a quiet rest away from it all ................
We have deer in the woods around us who come to drink from the river at dawn and dusk, there are also otters and coypu to be seen on the river banks, ..and maybe you will hear a “Sanglier” roaming in the woods, though they are very shy. We regularly have several Buzzards and sometimes a Red Kite flying overhead, not to mention in spring and Autumn the migrating geese on their flight path over us which is spectacular to watch.

There are numerous activities available in the area such as
Walking, Cycling and Fishing which are all available literally on our doorstep.

Further afield you will find

To the north are the famous parks of Puy de Fou,
a fabulous themed Park and Futuroscope
near Poitiers, both within easy reach.

Then to the south and south west is the beautiful town of Cognac with guided tours of the world renowned vineyards of Remy Martin, Martel and Courvoisier to name but a few.

To the west there is the coast of the Charente Maritime, with the beautiful old port of La Rochelle and lovely sandy beaches.

Just a short distance to the east are the lakes of Central France and the Vienne River with plenty of places for fishing or just relaxing by the water

All around the area you will find beautiful villages, stunning Chateaux, rolling countryside and amazing views, all complementing the pretty towns of Ruffec and Mansle and the historic city of Angouleme
