Villa Karinyon
Large family group holiday villa for 2-13 persons, with private pool and gardens. For smaller or larger groups (maximum 17), there is also an adjoining apartment for 2-4 persons. Individual en-suite rooms may be available on a bed and breakfast basis at certain times of the year.
Tranquil haven with magnificent, uninterrupted sea and mountain views. Situated in the historic, preserved hamlet of Mistraki; an unspolit and scenic area of Messinia Peloponnese, mainland Greece. Near to attractions, cultural and historic sites, golden sandy beaches of Koroni, Finikounda Vounaria and Peroulia and also an 18-hole golf course in Yialova, Pylos.
Ideal for the independent traveller or friends and family holidaying together who wish to experience "real" Greece.
Kalamata airport 1 hour. Athens 4 hours. Car hire recommended.
Location Details
Mistraki Koroni near Vounaria and Finikounda
Mistraki is a small peaceful hamlet with a lovely square, crazy paved pathways, a spring water well, citrus trees and a small private church and cemetery. Technological developments have made little impact here. Agriculture is of prime importance, especially the cultivation of olives for the production of the worldwide reputed 'Koroni' oil. There are no bars or other tourist distractions, just the chatter of crickets and the occasional bray of the neighbours' cute donkey.
In the year 2000 Mistraki was declared a traditional settlement of historic interest by the Greek government and Ministry of Culture. Most of the houses are over a hundred years old and built from locally sourced stone.
Fine sandy beaches, activities, historical sites and Messinia attractions are all within a short drive (10-20 minutes) and easily reached from the villa.
