Local shops are just around the corner and the supermarket is less than 500 meters away. You have the choice of eating in or eating out and can walk to one of the local inexpensive restaurants or bars. Pop out in the morning to pick up your freshly baked croissants and bread.
For that special gourmet meal you should discover the restaurant Belle Etoile a 5 minute drive away at Le Roque Gageac. Here you may enjoy a wonderful meal in lovely surroundings at a very reasonable price. The Perigord is renowned for it's gastronomy and is the best value for money in the whole of France.
Strolling around the village is a joy, with the narrow streets, the weekly market, the tiny village chapel and the speciality shops.The River Dordogne and it's riverside beach and canoeing is also within walking distance of the cottage.
The ancient bastide of Domme rises up behind the village and several footpaths lead you through the picturesque counrtyside to one of the most beautiful villages in France. A 360 degree panorama gives amazing views over the Valley of the Dordogne. Here you will find many more restaurants and small shops to browse around.
