Additional Information

The village with its small shops can cater for immediate needs but if required supermarkets at Le Bugue and Lalinde offer a wider selection as does the Hypermarket on the Bordeaux Road at Bergerac. If you prefer the local markets you will find one everyday at a nearby town. Sarlat market on Saturday can be a day out, strolling through the closed main street and ally-ways of the old town, shops and stalls selling local produce of every description
Under English rule in the middle Ages the Perigord, the French name since medieval times, was the cradle of the Hundred Year’s War and legacies of this era are everywhere. Fortified Churches, over a 1000 Castle’s and Chateaux’s, and the Bastides, all only a short drive away.
