Holiday villa in a unspoilt historic village

Daisy is on 3 floors including the roof terrace. It has hot and cool air conditioning in every room. This is augmented in the bedrooms by tilt and open patio doors. There are mosquito nets on every window and door so you are protected from insects.

There are 2 shower rooms for your added convenience. The water is heated by solar panels and if necessary an immersion heater.

Daisy can be used by disabled guests providing they are in robust health. There are 2 sofa beds in the lounge and externally there is a ramp. However the ramp is quite steep and it might not suit everybody. Please ask for further details.

The pool area is very private, being surrounded by a wooded park and orange groves. There are tables and sunbeds. Many guests visit the village bakery and enjoy their lunch by the pool. Some also make good use of the communal barbecue.

As Mandarin Grove is in the heart of the village it is close to 8 tavernas, all offering authentic Cretan cuisine.

You are close to the main highway linking western and Eastern Crete so all areas are accessible by car. There are very pleasant bays nearby including Fodele Beach, Lygaria and Agia Pelagia.

Fodele is a wonderful unspoilt village. It is open all year and it harks back to an earlier age. There are no cash machines for some miles so you need to take Euros. The village is also famous as the birthplace of El Greco and its local tapestries ; honey and Raki may be worth a visit too.
