Are you looking for accommodation in Snowdonia? Then look no further than Glan Gors self catering apartment in Snowdonia National Park. Our own holiday home which we also let out, it is nestled in the historic town of Harlech. Ideal for families and couples the ground floor property sleeps up to five people. Comprising of three comfortable bedrooms, a spacious lounge area and well equipped kitchen, ideal for the self catering visitor. In the warmer months enjoy sitting out in the gardens and admire the spectacular views of the hills above Harlech.
Glan Gors Self Catering Apartment is within walking distance of a selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Just a short stroll away is Harlech beach, ideal for families with children. Along the coast there are several other large sandy beaches. The popular Royal St David's golf course is about a five minute walk away. The area is excellent for walkers, both for gentle strolling and for more serious mountain climbing. For those looking for a bit of history why not visit some of the beautiful castles in the area including the nearby Harlech Castle. Our ground floor apartment provides easy access ideal for those who are less mobile. Comprising of three bedrooms (1 king, 1 double & 1 single). Lounge/dining area has plenty of comfortable seating, freeview television, DVD & video player. There is a small selection of videos, DVDs, books, cards, & various board games for you to enjoy.

Location Details

Near to sea, mountains & tourist attractions such as Harlech castle & Portmeirion

The estate is about 5 minutes walk from Harlech railway station (on the Cambrian coast line) and the Barmouth to Maentwrog bus stops at the entrance to the estate. The property is within walking distance of Harlech beach (there is also a large car park at the beach) which is wide, sandy and very safe, ideal for children. There are several other safe sandy beaches in the area. Royal St David's golf club is about a 5 minute walk away. The area is excellent for walkers, both for gentle strolling & for more serious mountain climbing, either in the heart of Snowdonia or on the Rhinogydd a few miles behind Harlech. Maps suitable for walkers are available in the flat.
Within about 5 minutes walking distance is a pub/restaurant and a convenience store. Harlech main street and immediate area in upper Harlech has a selection of shops, restaurants/cafes & pubs. Although designated as a town, Harlech is village sized, compact and has an 'olde worlde' main street. Supermarkets and more shops & eating places are to be found in Barmouth and Porthmadog, about 8 miles South & North of Harlech respectively.
Harlech is about 7 miles from the well known Portmeirion village and there are many other tourist attractions in the area.

Short lets can only be booked in advance for low season. We do not do lets longer than 3 weeks or shorter than 2 days.
Prices include electricty, bedlinen & towels but if you wish to bring your own bedlinen & towels we will deduct 10% from the price.
A 25% deposit, by cheque is required to confirm booking. The remainder must be paid be 4 weeks prior to the start of the holiday let. Late bookings can be paid by cash on arrival or by direct money transfer.

Additional Information

We are happy to take an adult house trained dog if the owners are prepared to bring the animal's own bedding & not allow it onto furniture or beds. Families & couples are welcome, but we do not accept bookings from young, single sex groups.
Changeover day is normally Saturday, arrival 3pm, deprature 11am but in low season this can be changed by arrangement.
Bedding, towels (except beach towels) & electricity are included in the rental cost. If you prefer to bring your own towels & bedding we will deduct 10% from the cost.
We are happy to do lets of less than a week, with a 2 night stay minimum. In low season these can be pre-booked but in high season please contact us nearer the time.
