Listing description
This luxuary apartment is rated '4 Sunflowers' (The highest rating) by the local council. It has two double bedrooms each with two single beds, lounge, kitchenette and bathroom, together with a large patio area with pool.
Full use of the BBQ and outdoor cooking facilities are included as is full use of the pool.
The views from the garden are absolutely stunning and the area boasts the most attractive sunsets in Hungary.
Location Details
North Balaton, Tapolca Basin
Situated in the quaint village of Monostorapáti it is in the heart of the most beautiful part of Hungary known as the Artists Valley. Our local town, Tapolca, is just 10km away and has all the necessary facilities together with a Tesco, Lidl, Spar and soon to be opened Aldi stores. Regular bus /coach services run from the village to the whole of Hungary and trains are available from Tapolca to Budapest.
The local airport, Balaton Sarmelek, is serviced by Ryanair from London Stanstead with cheap flights available and is just a 50 minute drive from the apartment. Car hire can be arranged for collection at the airport and can be pre-booked through erentals.co.uk at greatly reduced rates. By arrangement your hosts can meet you at the airport and guide you back to the apartment.
With the Austrian, Slovenian, Croation and Czec Republic borders all around two hours drive from the apartment it is an ideal base for touring the area if you are so inclined.
The area is surrounded by National Parks providing stunning scenery and is an artists paradise. If rambling is your thing then there are unlimited opportunities to explore the area and surrounding forests which still house deer and wild boar.
Lake Balaton is just a 20 minute drive from the apartment and is the largest lake in Europe being some 43 miles long and 15 miles wide. It has many grassy 'beaches' and is ideal for relaxing or enjoying the local water sports, boating or swimming.
