Cathedral View

“Cathedral View” is a luxurious mews-style town house situated in a conservation area in a very quiet location in the centre of the historic cathedral city of Wells with parking. It is equipped to the highest specifications and has views to the famous 12th century Gothic cathedral and Glastonbury Tor across the Vale of Avalon. There is a good selection of inns, restaurants and shops within a five minute walk.

Wells is the smallest cathedral city in England. It caters for most everyday needs, offering good shopping facilities as well as restaurants and pubs, a cinema, churches of most denominations, together with open-air markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Famous for being the location of the comedy film "Hot Fuzz", Wells is an ideal base for touring with Wookey Hole Caves, Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury, Regency Bath, Bristol and the seaside resort of Weston-Super-Mare all in close proximity. For those who like to get some exercise there is excellent walking in the nearby Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (the West Mendip Way starts just half a mile from St Thomas Mews) with cycling and bird watching on the Somerset Levels. Sporting facilities in the area include racing at Wincanton and Bath and Golf at Wells Golf Club.

Location Details

St Thomas Mews is just under a ten minute walk away from the centre of Wells.

From M5, north or south, J21 or 22. Follow A38 and A371 signed for Wells.
From the east use M4 to Bath or Bristol then follow the signs to Wells.
Alternatively use the M3 and A303 cutting along the Mendip Hills via Frome and Shepton Mallett following the signs to Wells.
