Cyprus is in the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea, south of the Anatolian peninsula (Asia Minor) and to the east of the Greek islands of Rhodes and Kastelorizo. It is the third largest island in the Mediterranean Sea.
The charms of Cyprus are endless. For a start, the weather is stunning - sunny and dry for most of the year, making the clear blue sea even more enticing, while orange, lemon and olive groves scent the air with incredible aromas. There is a great deal packed into a small space on the island. Not only is it host to miles of gorgeous beaches and holiday resorts, but it is also riddled with the relics of ancient history, from the beehive huts of primitive man to classical Greek and Roman ruins, and everything imaginable in-between.
The local people are exceptionally welcoming of tourists on the island, always happy to share with them their innate love of life.
